I bought a bunch of chips from Aliexpress. Are they legit? I don’t know, and I’m not sure how to check them. They seem to work. But, I’m using them in dirt boxes, if the sound is low fi and distorted how can you tell after you’ve introduced some clipping diodes?
These LM308N work in a Rat I built, they sound is alright. Do they have the “magic” slew rate, its really hard to tell, my ear just aren’t that good.
The bag of LM386 work but one chip in the bag is labeled X9C103P V948. Not sure what that is? The internet seems to think this is a “Digitally Controlled Potentiometer”.
